About Amie Myrick

Licensed clinician, experienced trainer, consultant, trained facilitator, lover of books, travel, and Maryland crabs, and mom of three. My \"why\" is to create a compassionate world so that all can feel seen.I am a Maryland licensed clinical professional counselor who specializes in working with traumatized populations. I currently work as a Senior Program Analyst at the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), overseeing multiple national projects funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) aimed at preventing suicide, substance use, overdose, and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and increasing capacities for local health departments and first responders. I am an ACE Master Presenter in the state of Maryland and a national HOPE facilitator and technical assistance provider. I have been invited to train on trauma-related topics throughout the country and have presented at local, national, and international conferences for over 17 years. I worked at a non-profit for 10 years, where I served as the Director of Education and Training. During my time there, I collaborated closely with the Harford County Child Advocacy Center as a therapist, supervisor, clinical coordinator, and member of the multidisciplinary team. In addition to my clinical and training work, I am a research and training consultant for groups interested in comprehensive treatment for populations affected by trauma.
