WORK HISTORY
Legal Intern @Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, Inc.
West Palm Beach, FL, US
As an intern in the Juvenile Advocacy Program, I supported attorneys serving children and families through casework and courtroom observation. I prepared case briefs for Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) petition cases and researched rights restoration in Florida along with creating a one-page resource guide for pro bono attorneys for rights restoration. I also shadowed juvenile delinquency and dependency dockets, gaining insight into courtroom procedures and child advocacy.I expanded beyond juvenile law to explore other areas supported by Legal Aid, researching and preparing a case summary of AAPD v. SSA (Case No. 1:25-cv-00977-APM) that analyzed the complaints based on the negative implications for disability rights and federal benefits access due to cuts in SSA funds and restructuring.
