About Ameya Marakarkandy
I am a final-year Dual Degree student in Aerospace Engineering at IIT Bombay and the current lead of the IITB Student Satellite Program. Over the last few years, I have experienced first-hand the challenges of building nanosatellites and navigating both technical hurdles and the realities of leading a multidisciplinary team. This journey has given me a strong system-level perspective on satellite design, especially nanosatellites, while deepening my core interests in dynamics, controls, and systems engineering.

Managing an interdisciplinary team of 50+ students working on design and development of CubeSats and CubeSat-compatible modules. The team is currently working on a Nanosatellite Proximity Operations and Docking mission. The team is also a part of the 1st CanSat India competition, organized by IN-SPACe and ASI. The Ham radio club of the institute functions under IITBSSP where we conduct amateur radio club activities and events.
