About Ameya Kulkarni
Mechanical Engineering Leader with 12+ years of experience in NPI, NTI and VAVE program execution. Currently I lead EV overall gearbox design for NTI project and Co-lead for the new product introduction. In this role, I manage and I am responsible for delivery for complete work package required for different stages of product development. This includes requirement definition and management, concept generation and selection, prototype production and testing, Design finalization and production.As a SME for lubrication and Thermal systems, I am responsible for Lubrication and thermal management for ePowertrain systems. My responsibilities include cooling layout proposals for ePowertrains and selection of critical component like heat exchangers, pumps, filter and oil for the ePowertrains.In my previous experience, managed a ₹8 Cr+ revenue-generating pump system portfolio, leading the end-to-end development and market release of six pump variants, actuators and valves. Oversaw pump design aligned with ASME pressure classes, supported domestic and international customer sites, and collaborated with suppliers across development stages. Championed next-gen innovations, including pump health monitoring and advanced pump systems.My key strengths include electromechanical product design, strong analytical skills, concurrent design practices, cross functional collaborations and application DFSS principles for product design.
