ABOUT AMER ABU-KHAJIL
I’m a product manager with 7 years of experience building and launching 0-to-1 products across startups, agencies, and big tech. I’m most at home in the early, ambiguous product spaces - when the problem isn’t fully defined yet and the path forward needs clarity, structure, and momentum. Most recently at Amazon, I co-led the global launch of Amazon Bazaar, a new standalone mobile shopping app introduced across 14 emerging countries. And before that, I worked on Discovery - Search & Browse experiences - for Amazon\'s Global Store, helping improve how millions of customers find and shop for international products.Outside of Amazon, I founded and exited Perceptional, a B2B SaaS platform for AI-moderated user interviews, where I went from idea to launch to early growth and acquisition. Earlier in my career, I helped ideate, validate, and launch multiple new products through Studios, including a live shopping app for Shopify merchants and a facial-recognition event check-in platform.I tend to work best at the intersection of customer problems, product strategy, and execution - partnering closely with design and engineering, aligning leadership, and navigating cross-org constraints across teams like operations, finance, and legal to keep teams focused on what actually moves the needle.I have an MBA in Innovation & Entrepreneurship from UBC Sauder, and MASc and BASc degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo.Feel free to reach out - always happy to connect and nerd out about the latest in tech, product, and new product developement!
