ABOUT AMER RIZVI

Mr. Amer Rizvi, a Pakistani-American teacher, has helped thousands of ethnically diverse learners acquire the subject knowledge and skills they need to succeed, whether in academia or in their chosen professions. Indeed, it is Mr. Rizvi’s passion for transforming Eurocentric curricula into dynamic, culturally sensitive, student-centered learning programs that has led to his success as an ESOL instructor. He has been called upon to design content, instruction, and assessment for several educational institutions. Mr. Rizvi has over twenty years of international experience teaching ESOL at world-renowned universities and colleges, language institutes, and private schools. His ability to tailor content to meet his learners\' needs and his mastery of ESOL’s communicative teaching methodology enable him to make his instruction more effective. A liberal arts university education, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, training in Anthropology, extensive international teaching experience, a multi-lingual/cultural background, an enthusiastic and most approachable personality, and, above all, the ability to enhance student learning through bottom-up program design and sound communicative teaching methodology make Mr. Rizvi the educator students are looking for.
