About Amer Assal
I am a board certified medical oncologist with an interest in hematopoietic stem cell transplant and cancer immunology. During my training at MSKCC, I had the pleasure to care for patients on the adult hematopoietic stem cell transplant service and to be involved in a variety of research projects, both retrospective and prospective, with a focus on myeloid malignancies and multiple myeloma. At Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in addition to completing my training in hematology and medical oncology, I have investigated the expression of immune check-point proteins in specimens from patients with hematological malignancies with the goal of exploring the expression of novel B7 family proteins that can be potential immunotherapy targets.
