ABOUT AMELIE CROOK

I am a highly driven and academically strong BA Geography student at the University of Exeter. With a particular interest in sustainability, ESG, and business strategy, I am aiming to pursue a career in sustainability, where I can contribute to developing responsible, data-informed solutions to today’s most pressing environmental and social challenges. At Arcadis, I completed a hybrid work experience in Strategic Environmental Consulting, where I gained hands-on exposure to environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, and sustainability strategy. This experience enhanced my skills in data handling, mapping, and environmental analysis, while also deepening my understanding of how sustainability is integrated into decision-making. Alongside my studies, I work part-time as a Customer Team Member at Co-op, where I have developed strong communication and interpersonal skills, improving my ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments, and organisational skills. I am also certified in Microsoft Excel and Word, and currently undertaking online courses to further develop my knowledge in sustainability, ESG reporting, and sustainable finance. My academic background, combined with a proactive and collaborative approach to work, has equipped me with a broad set of transferable skills in research, critical thinking, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement. I am particularly interested in the intersection of climate risk, corporate sustainability, and responsible investment, and how strategic consultancy can help organisations transition toward a more sustainable future. I am currently seeking opportunities to gain further experience in consultancy and/or sustainability roles. I also hope to connect with professionals across the ESG, consulting, and sustainable investment sectors to learn more about their career paths and insights into sustainable business.
