I cut my teeth in the wedding industry and leveraged the skills I learned behind the chair to launch my entrepreneurial journey. As a former foster care youth, my options were pretty grim right out of high school. I found my way to beauty school, and almost immediately discovered I could make a living in the bridal beauty industry. What started as a scrappy freelance hair and makeup hustle became Amelia C & Co, the go-to choice for over 800 brides a year in Vegas. Building on that brand, I also launched BKSTG, a production hair and makeup agency trusted by Canon USA, American Eagle, CES, Magic Johnson Enterprises and many other major brands. I learned how to lead a team, scale a service, and deliver five-star experiences. I have also had the honor to serve in leadership positions within my industry and its associations, advocating in business on behalf of my peers. The same skills were repurposed to launch a gourmet popcorn company that landed on Whole Foods shelves in 2019, and later, a plant-based restaurant and cocktail bar in 2021. While both of those companies have since shuttered, the diversity of experience I gained during that time could not be overstated. Superbloom Living was launched in 2023 after a big personal life change that demanded I take greater stock of the skill I had and the problems I wanted to solve. Superbloom Living provides furnished midterm rentals to traveling professionals in Tulsa, OK and the surrounding areas. I bring the legendary Las Vegas hospitality with me, and am proud to offer a warm and welcoming stay that is more than transactional. While in start-up with Superbloom, I finally revisited education and earned my Bachelor\'s in Business in 11 months from WGU, then went on to earn my MBA four months later. I\'ve reached a place in my career where I want problems worth having. It\'s no longer enough to build something; it needs to be something that needs to be built, problems that need solving. Medical professionals and other contract workers deserve quality housing. After staying in my fair share of Airbnbs with one sad, scratched Teflon pan and hand-me-down furniture, I am determined to provide a furnished housing solution that is attractive, comfortable, and with a chef-stocked kitchen to make living home-away-from-home as fulfilling as possible. I reject the idea that just because there\'s money to be had, one should phone it in. I am determined to be proud of my work and measure my success not just in the revenue it makes but in knowing I\'ve done a job worth doing well.
