Amelia Gannon is Senior Director, Organizational Alignment and Programs at Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). In her current role she works for the Deputy General Manager to identify, prioritize and advance high visibility workstreams through strategic planning, communications, project monitoring, and continuous improvement systems. Prior to joining WMATA, Amelia designed and implemented strategic operations for District of Columbia Public Schools. Her responsibilities included the design, execution, and evaluation of district-wide policies, initiatives, and programming for staff members across 117 schools. She holds a MPA and BA from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University.
