WORK HISTORY
Graduate Civil Engineer @Mott MacDonald Bentley | MMB
Leeds, GB
I gained hands-on experience supporting flood risk and water infrastructure projects, developing strongtechnical, health and safety and project coordination skills within a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy environment.Developed flood risk delivery skills by supporting Environment Agency debris screen projects and contributing to FRAP submissions, technical methodologies and Temporary Works General Arrangementdrawings using AutoCAD in line with EA standards.Acquired sustainability and carbon assessment skills by preparing embodied carbon calculations andCarbon Appendices using internal carbon tools and Moata to support low-carbon design decisions.Strengthened health, safety and CDM compliance skills by producing PSRA, DRA, PCMT and FloodContingency Plans in accordance with regulatory and public safety requirements.Built technical design and hydraulic understanding by developing temporary works designs for site compounds, culvert protection and hoarding, alongside basic hydraulic calculations such as dischargecapacity and draw-down duration.Enhanced information management and project coordination skills by acting as Information Managerunder MIDP, managing document control on Asite and SharePoint, and supporting programme trackingusing Microsoft Project, Miro and Visio.

ABOUT AMELIA MON
I am a Civil Engineer and First-Class Honours Civil Engineering graduate from the University of the West of England, specialising in flood risk management, coastal engineering and sustainable infrastructure. I currently work within a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, supporting the delivery of Environment Agency flood risk and water infrastructure projects. My experience across civil engineering design, consultancy and research has given me exposure to the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and early design through to technical delivery. I contribute to FRAP submissions, temporary works design, carbon assessments and CDM documentation, and produce AutoCAD engineering drawings. My technical background includes hydraulic and hydrodynamic modelling, coastal erosion analysis using XBeach and SWAN, and structural analysis using Midas Gen. Previously, I supported coastal protection and flood risk management projects as an Intern Civil Technician and contributed to research-led sustainable engineering projects, developing strong technical reporting, design coordination and problem-solving skills. I work confidently within regulated, safety-critical environments and multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication and organisational skills. I am now seeking a Civil Engineer or Junior Civil Engineer role where I can continue developing professionally and progress towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
