About Amelia Lewin
As a third-year Criminology student at DePaul University in Chicago, I am passionate about exploring the dynamics of crime, justice, and societal impact. I am actively engaged in several initiatives aimed at reshaping the landscape of our criminal justice system. Through my work with Parole Illinois, I advocate for parole reform and support individuals transitioning from our incarceration system back into society. My involvement with DePaul\'s InsideOut program allows me to contribute directly to rehabilitation efforts within our community by fostering education in a carceral setting. I am honored to be recognized as a recipient of the prestigious McCormick Foundation Scholarship, which underscores my dedication to creating change, fostering rehabilitation, and promoting equity. In addition to my pursuits, I am a proud member of the Criminal Justice Honors Society Alpha Phi Sigma and have earned my spot on the Dean\'s List quarterly in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
