As a kid, my favorite things to do were tell stories at sleepovers, show new kids around on their first day of school, and give presentations to my parents about imaginary places and people (with crayon-drawn maps!) I followed my love of story-telling, community-building, research, and teaching to my current position as the Deputy Director of State and Local Advocacy at the American Library Association. As part of ALA\'s advocacy team, I help library professionals advocate for all the important work they do to make information and learning accessible to all communities across the United States.
