About Ame Bora

I am a consummate professional with 10 years of clinical and programming experience. As a clinician, I am trained in gestalt and resonate with the mind-body experience, as well as creative, mindful modalities. In my practice I work from an interpersonal, humanistic, and particularly the somatic experience perspective. I am a proponent of transforming western psycho-therapuetic schools of thought and reframing them to meet needs of communities of color.After working as a frontline mental health professional and witnessing institutional and systemic barriers people face, I am also invested in making change at the programmatic and macro level. In my spare time, I am a huge aficionado of the performing arts, supporting and enjoying dance of all forms.
