Supporting the instructional development of all teachers in understanding the process of second language acquisition and factors that positively influence student’s learning. Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, information, etc, to support classroom instruction and planning,including new resources conducive to improving the academic achievement of English learners. Assist teachers with planning and pacing of lessons, the development of differentiated lessons, and the selection of best practices to meet the needs of their English learner students. Support teachers and administrators in using data to improve instruction on all levels. Observe lessons in a non-evaluative manner and provide feedback for teachers’ professional growth and students’ success. Develop coaching plans for teachers to ensure student improvement. Use Adult Learning Theory to motivate adult learners and improve professional practice. Contribute to the development systems and structures to improve teacher practice within schools. Provide job-embedded informal professional learning beyond the coaching responsibility.

With over 20 years of experience in education, I am passionate about supporting the instructional development of all teachers and students in our school community. I am committed to empowering every educator to impact generations of learners in becoming both career and college ready. I collaborate with administrators and other stakeholders to use data to drive instructional decisions and outcomes. I hold a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Our Lady of Holy Cross College. In addition to administrative and mentor teacher certification, I am certified to teach English and Social Studies (6-12) in Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Ohio and Kansas. I also serve as a Professional Virtual Instructor for Imagine Learning.
