ABOUT AMBILY SABU
Greetings and warmth to everyone readingI am an individual who deeply believes in bringing change through collective efforts,creativity and persistence. I have a learning background of 6 years in education with specialization in English as a second language and Teacher education. My goal is to understand the different alternative education pedagogies,tools and identity shifts and bring that into practice within myself and the community I work with. My master\'s thesis on: Understanding the influence of the Alternative School Environment on Teacher Professional Identity: A narrative study at Digantar Vidyalaya ( Digantar Shiksha evam Khelkud Samitti),Jaipur,Rajasthan deepened my understanding and interest into the alternative education community. My interests began from continuous reflection on my own schooling experiences and my field attachment at Vidyodaya Adivasi School ( Viswa Bharati Vidyodaya trust),Gudalur,Tamil Nadu. I look forward to engaging, learning and collaborating with many more Alternative schools with different schools of thought.In my current role, I engage in designing,liasoning,data integration, facilitation and implementation of the Scale program of CAM (Cluster Academic Meeting),a tool to foster community of practice amongst teachers through multiple collectives and collaboration on a monthly basis in collaboration with the Department of Education, Elementary,Patiala, Punjab.We have been experimenting multiple methods and developing champions within the system to shift towards a system and teachers led collective and develop Patiala as a model District in Punjab as well as towards a larger diasphora globally.I look forward to conversations,learnings and collaborations through LinkedIn.
