About Ambika Prasad Shah
I am an Associate Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Technology Jammu, with a strong focus on advancing reliable, secure, and energy-efficient VLSI systems. I earned my Ph.D. from IIT Indore and gained international research experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Microelectronics, TU Vienna, Austria.My work lies at the intersection of circuit reliability, hardware security, low-power design, and biomedical electronics, driven by the goal of building robust electronic systems for next-generation applications. Over the years, I have authored or co-authored 110+ peer-reviewed publications and two books, and my research has been recognized through multiple honors, including Best Paper Awards at VDAT (2024, 2025), the Young Scientist Award from MPCST, and the Young Faculty Research Fellowship (MeitY, Govt. of India). I was also nominated by DST, Government of India, to represent the country at the 10th BRICS Young Scientist Forum 2025 in Brazil.Beyond research, I actively contribute to the academic and professional community through leadership roles in premier conferences and editorial responsibilities with Transactions on VLSI Systems, Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, IETE Journal of Research, and Nature Scientific Reports. I also coordinate the VLSI Society of India – Himalayan Region Chapter.I am passionate about mentoring young researchers, fostering academia–industry collaboration, and translating fundamental research into impactful, real-world technologies.
