ABOUT AMBER JAIN

I work at the intersection of operations, risk and audit — where processes either protect a bank or expose it.Over the past 8+ years, I’ve built my career across global banking environments including Citi and Barclays, moving from understanding how transactions flow to ensuring the controls governing them actually work.Today, as an Controls assesment AVP, I lead control assessment and regulatory remediation programs, partnering with audit, compliance and business teams to strengthen control environments. My experience spans balance sheet controls, middle-office operations, market governance and regulatory frameworks such as MiFID II and SOX. I’ve helped integrate 200+ controls into BAU, handled internal and external audits with senior management, and improved testing standards and efficiency through analytics and automation.What differentiates me is my foundation in audit — I don’t just test controls, I understand why they fail, where risk originates, and how operations behave in real scenarios. This allows me to translate technical control gaps into practical business fixes.I also enjoy building teams and mentoring analysts into strong control testers — because strong frameworks are ultimately built by strong people.I’m particularly interested in roles across Risk, Controls, Governance, Audit and Operational Risk where I can continue strengthening control environments and solving complex regulatory challenges.
