Manage a daily patient load of 25-30 patients with the assistance of a scribe and two medical assistants- Conduct comprehensive health history and physical assessments for individuals with acute and chronicdermatologic conditions, including but not limited to acne vulgaris, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, rosacea, dermatitis, folliculitis, verruca vulgaris, dysplastic nevi, melanoma and other skin cancers, pyogenic granulomas, chronic wounds, vitiligo, tinea versicolor, and alopecia- Perform excisions for squamous cell carcinomas, basal cell carcinomas, cysts, lipomas, and other neoplasms of uncertain behavior- Order and interpret laboratory testing to manage dermatologic conditions, such as stasis dermatitis, psoriasis, and acne vulgaris- Collaborate with other providers and support staff to develop patient-centered treatment plans that consider the psychological, biological, and social factors influencing patient lives- Perform various dermatological procedures, including cryotherapy, comedonal extractions, incision & drainage, cantharidin, shave and punch biopsies, skin tag removal, cautery, dermatophyte test mediums, and KOH preps- Provide full body skin examinations for all ages, ranging from infants to the elderly- Assist Mohs micrographic surgeons with skin closures, including the use of intermediate and complexclosures, skin grafts, flaps, and artificial skin substitutes- Manage patients on high-risk medications, including biologics, accutane, oral antifungals, methotrexate,and spironolactone- Currently completing the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants Diplomate Fellowship Program- Document information using the EMA dermatology-based electronic health record.
