Was working as a Medical Writer for Clinical Trials and Infectious Disease at Medpace in Cincinnati Ohio. Was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the department of Biology at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton New York under the direction of Dr. Ian Blaby. Received her B.Sc. from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio in 2008 where she studied Maize transcription factors and she received a Ph.D. from the University of Miami, Oxford Ohio, in 2016. Her Ph.D. dissertation focused on the influence of abiotic drivers (light and nutrients) on photobiology and diversity of Antarctic lake phytoplankton communities.
