Focus on Tx NERC FAC-003 compliance, develop, support & coordination of Tx integrated vegetation management plan, promote corridor stewardship. Environmental Specialist for Tx Line Maintenance (Jan 2016- May 2022): Provided support to liveline journeymen & vegetation managers and crews. Maintain NERC FAC-03 evidence, Spill Response Coordination, Environmental Compliance support.Site Environmental Inspector(term)(20••••16): Riel Converter Station Project, Responsible for ensuring compliance with the EPP, Environment Act Licenses & regulatory requirements. Coordinated registrations & other permitting requests, liaised with regulators, project staff, contractors, etc.ES (term)(20••••15): I was responsible for reviewing non EA projects for the op & maint (eg Thermal and Hydro Generating stations), of various MB Hydro projects eg: beaver dam removal, de-watering of draft tubes, linear developments, water quality. Completed field site inspections to ensure environmental compliance, advise on environmental conditions outlined in KIP EPP, advise on EAL, & MB Conservation Work Permit conditions.ES (mat leave coverage 20••••14): Work with Generation Business Unit for Fisheries & Aquatic Section providing support to Lake Sturgeon program.EI (term)(20••••13): Transmission Line Construction, environmental site inspection and to ensure regulatory compliance during construction of transmission lines. Team member developing EPP for the clearing & construction of a 500 kV T-line.

ABOUT AMBER LAHTI

My professional experience in environmental and natural resources fields has developed over the last 30 years and includes a variety of sectors (private, not-for-profit, government), provinces and territories, and industry fields (O&G, Hydro-electric, Mining, Research). Having lived and worked in three provinces and one territory in Canada, I’ve been exposed to a vast array of policies, procedures, and life experiences. I’m originally from Sudbury, ON and currently reside in Winnipeg, MB. I\'ve also lived and worked in British Columbia and Northwest Territories and have also worked in Nunavut, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Michigan (USA, Upper Peninsula). My international travel adventures include USA, Africa, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, India, and Mexico. It is my goal to be recognized as a trusted leader in environmental stewardship and to facilitate progress in the most environmentally responsible way possible.
