ABOUT AMBER JAHN

Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee I studied Supply Chain Management as The University of Tennessee consistently ranks in the top five U.S. Supply Chain Mangement programs. During my time University, I participated in two Co-Ops with Kimberly-Clark. One Data Management Co-Op in Neenah, Wisconsin and the second Co-Op in Transportation. In Neenah, Wisconsin we partnered with Harbor House domestic abuse to raise a significant amount of money for the cause. Upon graduation, I accepted a job offer to relocate to NYC with the French cosmetics company - L\'Oreal. Over my four years at L\'Oreal I was promoted three times while working with their Indirect Strategic Sourcing team. My favorite project during this time was coordinating logistics to ensure all company laptops were refurbished, loaded with software programs, and donated to local NYC PS schools lacking in computer equipment and technology education. After the event of the Pandemic, I decided to pursue more potential life channels in social work and financial services. I attended CUNY\'s master\'s program for social work studying homelessness for seven (7) months, traveled in the beautiful country of Vietnam for a month, and then pursued a career as a financial representative / fiduciary in training at Northwestern Mutual for seven (7) months. Throughout my experiences, I have learned from several great international mentors and learned the value of thoughtful communications in the workplace. I have also witnessed first-hand that small micro changes can often create a better environment around oneself and their community. I am excited to continue to evolve and personally grow while at NYL.
