She comes from Scottish heritage on her father’s side and Anishinini (Oji-Cree) and Kanyen’kehà:ka (Mohawk) on her mother’s side, making her a bridge between diverse cultural identities. A proud member of Miimiiwiziibiing in Manitoba, with direct matriarchal roots in Obishikokaang and Tyendinaga in Ontario, Amber was born in Saskatoon, raised in Calgary, and now calls Winnipeg home. Deeply committed to building strong relationships and advancing a just and fair future for all, Amber is passionate about empowering communities through collaboration and innovation.
