About Amber Carson
Amber Carson represents debtors, creditors, official committees, and other stakeholders in all stages of commercial bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters, both in Texas and nationwide. She has guided clients through complex restructurings and litigation across a wide range of industries—including restaurants, healthcare, oil and gas, retail, construction, and manufacturing—consistently delivering favorable results in high-stakes cases. Amber also handles bankruptcy-related litigation involving a number of complex issues, including fraudulent transfers, preference actions, contract disputes, and many more. Amber\'s work and experience has earned widespread recognition at the national, state, and local levels. Amber was the sole recipient of the American Inns of Court Sandra Day O’Connor Award for Professional Service in 2024, presented at the Supreme Court of the United States. She received the Pro Bono Award (sole recipient, 2025), the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Award (inaugural sole recipient, 2023), and the Romina L. Mulloy-Bossio Achievement Award (sole recipient, 2021) from the Bankruptcy Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Her accolades also include Texas Lawyer\'s \"On the Rise\" award (2025), the ABA’s “On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers” (2023), the ABI’s “40 Under 40” (2022), and a Presidential Citation by the Dallas Bar Association (2021). Before joining Gray Reed, Amber served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Harlin D. Hale, Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Texas.
