About Ambar Das
I entered into the Professional Music Scenario first as a Stage Musician and accompanist in percussions and Guitar since 1985. I moved on to Professional Music Arrangement and Programming in 1998 with my first audio Album “Porisoy Bihin”, sung by various renowned artistes of Assam. Till date I have 73 audio Albums to my credit. Other than Audio Albums, I have worked for many Feature Films, Tele Films and Jingles as a Music Composer and Programmer.I have a been a part of some bands of national and international repute, such as:SOULMATE (Shillong, Meghalaya), FAITH (Mumbai), VOODOO CHILD (Assam), BAND OF BROTHERS (an Indo/German fusion band), CRYSTAL ANN (Assam), MONTHSMIND (Assam), CHOCLATES N CIGGERRETES (Assam), EAST INDIA COMPANY (Delhi), WARKLUNG (A Karbi progressive folk/fusion band) and MUMBAI MARIACHIS (with Helen Jones of Australia) etc… I have also been an active member of Cantare, one of the foremost choirs in Assam.Have done music for a host of serials and documentaries for DDK, PPC, NETV, RONG, NEWSLIVE, ZEE TV, UTV BINDAS, COLORS, STAR PLUS, NAT GEO, and STAR WORLD.Worked as a music supervisor and sound recordist for a host of Regional/Assamese Feature Films.Recent directed the music for a world fusion album by Times Music.
