With almost 2 decades of experience in cloud services, distributed systems and data management systems, I am a passionate engineering leader who focuses on delivering high-performance, scalable, secure, and compliant platforms for cloud-based solutions. I am a technology executive leading security, foundational platforms, and data and BI platforms, focused on scaling trusted, production‑grade enterprise AI at Nike. I lead a cross functional team responsible for engineering, product and program for the enterprise.In the past, I was the Vice President of Software Engineering at Salesforce. I led engineering for the messaging platform which includes data platform and security for Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, a distributed data estate that supports billions of customer interactions every year. I was responsible for the roadmap, implementation, and execution of the big data services, the data science initiatives, and the security engineering for features like data encryption, industry compliance, encryption at rest, and secret storage. Prior to that, I led Product Management for the database engine for SQL Server, SQL Server on Azure VM, Azure Arc SQL Managed Instance, and Azure SQL Edge, products and services that generated multi-billion dollars in annual revenue for Microsoft. I have also co-authored two books on SQL Server and Azure, and I am an active blogger and speaker at various community events. My mission is to empower customers and businesses with data-driven insights and solutions that help them achieve their goals and grow their potential.    Lead a large cross functional team of engineers and technical product managers focusing on AI, data, and BI platforms; enterprise security; cloud infrastructure; governance; observability; and FinOps The role is responsible for:Strategic Leadership & Modernization: Define and execute a strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring innovation and scalability. Modernization of products and services, aligning with enterprise transformation goals. This includes driving innovation and ensuring that the organizational capabilities deliver measurable business value.Governance & Risk Management: A major focus is on data governance, information security, privacy, and compliance controls, as well as closing critical risks tied to regulatory and operational exposure. The role is expected to champion frameworks for data quality, accessibility, and lifecycle management across all geographies and functions.Policy & Standards Oversight: The role involves approving and implementing enterprise-wide policies and standards—covering governance, stewardship, retention, classification, and access—to reduce compliance risk and improve operational efficiency.AI/ML Strategy & Enablement: The role is responsible for shaping the AI/ML roadmap, prioritizing use cases with clear business outcomes, and operationalizing generative AI (Gen AI) and agent-based solutions.
