About Ambalika B.
You are reading this because you got curious about ACE, isn\'t it? Well, it stands for Adverse Childhood Experience - which includes all kinds of crappy childhood ranging from abuse in every form to bring parented by negligent/ emotionally immature or unavailable parents/ a toxic family. It was my destiny to be born as a cycle breaker in a family that suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder from both the mater- pater sides. Makes me think I must have been an oversmart/ hyper confident soul, when planning my life journey on Earth 🤫 Anyway.past is past. Present is all I have. So that pretty much means I did not experience childhood, teenage and early adulthood like others. I spent that time thinking I am a badly broke person who cannot even be fixed. It wasn\'t until I did intense therapy during the global pandemic that I realised how wrong I had been all along. And that\'s when I started becoming me- finally. This wasn\'t easy as I am aware that having lived in the survival mode for most of my life while others went ahead with the usual flow of life, I got left behind. I have accepted this after realising the foolishness in doing otherwise and now my focus is to do the best I can from the place I am in. This is a most joyous and peaceful state to be in, I find. I now call myself as a Recovered Adult Child of a Narcissistic Family System. It actually sounds a lot like Recovered Prisoner of War In many ways it\'s the same. Scroll down to find out what I studied and did for a living when I still had an inflamed amygdyla. Otherwise what you read in the bio headline suffices! To see more of what I do, check out my folktale series-\'Galp Taru: The Tree of Stories \' And my newly launched podcast show: Celebrate The Podcast If you are perplexed or disgusted by bad behaviour, do take a moment to think of people like me- who have seen and experienced some of the dark and shameful shades of human beings within the close circle of family. Most of us homo sapiens are not as wonderful as we present ourselves to be yet, we mustn\'t give up on self improvement & self realisation ** If you have had a difficult childhood or had to live through a difficult time which you still can\'t seem to get over with, then I encourage you to seek professional help. The scenario in India is not exactly great, unlike how it\'s in the West- especially for Narcissistic Abuse Recovery. However, that should not dissuade you from taking whatever help can be taken. As Dr Gabor Mate, world\'s leading trauma expert says, Trauma is a wound and wounds can heal.**
