As an ESG Director, I am an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leading ESG strategy, developing sustainable products, managing ESG consulting engagements, and building high-performance teams. I have a proven track record of driving business growth by partnering with business development teams, targeting new customers and achieving repeat engagements with clients.In my previous role as Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Ciena, I spearheaded the development of a high-level ESG strategy and collaborated across multiple business units to develop sustainability goals. I led efforts on public sustainability disclosures, such as DJSI, GRI, SASB, TCFD, and CDP. I am skilled in assessing sustainability performance and identifying opportunities to improve material sustainability issues, creating and implementing communication strategies to promote broad awareness of sustainability initiatives, and building effective partnerships with external organizations to support sustainability efforts. I have also conducted sustainability-related risk assessments.Prior to this role, I served as a Senior Sustainability Manager at AT & T, where I supervised staff and led the team collection of data for internal and external requests by working with over 100 cross-functional working groups. I was responsible for developing submissions to investment indices, rankings, and awards, such as Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), and Bloomberg Sustainability Terminal. As an experienced ESG/Sustainability professional, I have developed an ESG product line service that meets the needs of clients, including designing ESG strategies/programs, adherence to frameworks, and assistance to meet regulatory requirements. I have led teams to execute client projects managing key stakeholders and final deliverables. I have also developed in-depth ESG acumen, leaning on in-house knowledge and previous work experience to provide best-in-class ESG consulting engagements.I created and implemented a plan to attract, engage, and develop an ESG consulting team, including planning for department structure, mentoring, and fostering professional development.
