About Amardeep Chatwal

An experienced finance professional with a passion in chasing value and getting things done. I have my own thought process and I question things as they are. I strongly believe that Finance should have a “business first” approach and work with a “solution mindset” without lowering the guard of governance. With the support of 5 team members, I am contributing as the Head of Finance & Accounts for the By Product Division of Tata Steel having annual revenues of around Crs. This division handles the vertical of by product handling, processing, and sales across all locations of Tata Steel including Collieries. In my earlier roles within Tata Steel, have also handled the FP & A profiles in Flat products and Long products SBU s of Tata Steel and served as financial analyst to the President – Tata Steel. I am able to have a genuine connect with people of all age groups and background and I think that helps me carry out the responsibilities with ease. I believe that conversation is the key in nurturing a team. Everyone brings his/her unique strengths to the role and as leaders we need to provide them the comfort, direction and genuine connect. The team then takes care of the rest.
