ABOUT AMAR KUMAR
Back in high-school in 2002, I would say that I want to become a computer engineer during the forced ice-breaker sessions that would take place at the beginning of every academic year. It stemmed from the curiosity towards technology and programming and because being a doctor sounded too serious. Eventually, after two years, the elective subject of Commerce put me in touch with what I really wanted to pursue, and it culminated in qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in May 2016.Before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, old romance with technology rekindled and that landed me a job at a start-up building a technology platform for tax professionals. You could say that I was as close to being a Computer Engineer as was practically possible. From Social Media Brainstorming to platform testing, to content creation on taxation and corporate law, I did do a lot and learnt a lot.After almost a year and a half, I moved into the tax and regulatory vertical and was mesmerized by the simplicity and complexity of the world of transfer pricing. Since then, it has been a long way of learning and facing multiple challenges, be it in the form of season deadlines, complex and challenging evaluation of transfer pricing models or keeping up with the developments in the field of transfer pricing and international tax.Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like to have a chat about anything under the sun; be it International tax and transfer pricing or cryptocurrency, zombie apocalypse, politics, traveling, or Marvel & DC Cinematic universe.
