Teaching Assistant Duties:Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.Supporting students individually or in small groups, especially those needing additional help.Preparing learning materials and ensuring a productive learning environment.Managing behavior and maintaining discipline in line with school policies.Helping students with special educational needs (SEN) by providing tailored support.Cover Teacher Duties:Taking over full classroom responsibilities in the absence of a regular teacher.Delivering pre-set lesson plans and ensuring students stay on task.Managing classroom behavior and maintaining discipline.Adapting to different subjects and year groups, often at short notice.Providing feedback on student progress and reporting any issues to permanent staff.Since GSL Education is a supply agency, your work is likely dynamic, requiring adaptability to different schools, teaching styles, and student needs. Your role strengthens your leadership, communication, and classroom management skills while giving you hands-on experience in education.
