ABOUT AMARACHI EZEOCHA

I’m a veterinarian turned social scientist with a deep commitment to addressing health inequities. Now, I research and design communication and governance strategies that make cross-sector collaboration actually work—especially in complex, multisectoral spaces like One Health. My journey began in veterinary practice, where I developed a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. These experiences sparked my interest in the One Health approach and its potential to tackle systemic challenges, leading me to shift toward public health research and social science. Now, as a doctoral researcher, I specialize in implementation science and knowledge mobilization—translating evidence into action. My research is based in the One Health, Human Dimensions, and Implementation (OH-HI) Science CoLab, where I explore collaborative tools and frameworks that address critical issues like antimicrobial resistance and zoonotic diseases. I believe that effective health interventions require more than just data—they demand a deep understanding of the social and cultural contexts that shape behavior. This perspective fuels my commitment to developing practical, inclusive, and evidence-informed strategies that create meaningful, real-world change. Whether you’re exploring interdisciplinary research, One Health initiatives, or strategies to promote health equity, I’m always eager to connect, collaborate, and exchange ideas.
