SECONDARY EDUCATION- Assessing secondary school pupils using British Vocabulary Picture Scale Elklan, Progression Tool, TALC-2- Analysing and reviewing scores and raw data to ascertain the best possible SCLN targets for pupil progression- Designing and implementing specialist SCLN programmes - including specific targets and resources to help improve attainment of pupil progress and performance in 1:1 situations, group work and mainstream education- Planning and delivering literacy interventions for GCSE pupils targeting specific areas of weakness- Working closely with Nurture and Inclusion provisions to ensure pupils are receiving the best possible interventions to improve general outlook and attitude towards education. PRIMARY EDUCATION- Teaching primary school pupils aged between 5 and 11- Working 1:1 with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and delivering Speech and Language programmes to children with language and communication difficulties as well as co-managing the Speech and Language and English as an Additional Language (EAL) departments. Planning and delivering Narrative Therapy groups for pupils with difficulties with cognitive/story sequencing, listening and concentration and verbal communication- Using Makaton signing as a means to communicate with children with verbal/speech impairments.Play therapy to aid and improve and increase speech and language acquisition- Leading literacy, numeracy and reading intervention groups to improve curricular levels at primary level- Leading phonics intervention groups to coincide with Every Child A Reader initiative-Running parent support/child friendly healthy cooking workshopsBEHAVIOUR EMOTIONAL SOCIAL DIFFICULTIES- Working with secondary schools with challenging behaviour - particularly in specialist schools/centres - BESD schools/PRUs/SILCs/ILSRunning lunchtime clubs to tackle behaviour through athletic and circle activities.
