Designed and led a community service program that provided technology assistance to senior citizens in the Houston Area. Offered technology instructional classes at four Houston-area senior centers, each on a monthly basis. Due to demand, added individual tech workshops for seniors who wanted additional tech assistance on a sign-up basis- Created and proposed the idea for a technology support program for local seniors after recognizing the community need in statistical data and personal experience with my grandparents- Reached out to Belmont Village Senior Living, the West U Senior Center, St. John the Divine Church, and the River Oaks Garden Club to begin monthly technology classes at each location- Planned classes based on participant interest and feedback, creating slideshows and learning resources for the lessons ahead of time- Provided small-group technology classes to seniors, helping them with individual questions and delivering presentations on cybersafety and other major technology themes- Made and delivered step-by-step instructional flashcards for seniors who attended our classes to help them to implement the skills they learned at the class in their daily lives- Organized individual tech help appointments for patrons seeking addition assistance
