As part of the 24/7 multidisciplinary team at the Energy Management Operations Centre (EMOC), I provide real-time operational support for 24 generation facilities across North America, managing both thermal and renewable assets with a total capacity of approximately 7,400MW.Key responsibilities include: Real-Time Market & Operations ManagementCreate and manage generating asset offer submissions in compliance with ISO market rules, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.Manage generation asset outages, testing, and ISO directives in real time.Remotely monitor wind farms and optimize their performance through operational analytics. Cross-Functional Collaboration & ComplianceCoordinate effectively with plant operators, balancing authorities, grid operators, transmission operators, and customers.Ensure compliance with market rules and regulations while supporting financial settlements and risk management.Assist operations crews in maintenance and repair activities. Process Improvement & Project ExecutionIdentify and implement system/process enhancements to improve efficiency.Develop and maintain process documentation, training guides, and operational tools.Lead and support cross-functional projects to integrate and commission new generation assets.By leveraging real-time data, analytics, and operational expertise, I contribute to maximizing asset availability, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance in a dynamic energy market.
