ABOUT ARMANDO GRUNDY-GOMES
United States Army Veteran | B.A- Univ of North Florida ‘20 | MPA - American Univ.\'26-| PUBLIC SERVICE | COALITION BUILDER | EXECUTIVE | ADMINISTRATOR | COMMUNICATIONS || ADVOCACY & ENGAGEMENT EXPERT |VETERANS POLICY | FOREIGN POLICY | OPERATIONS || TRANSPORTATION POLICY | PUBLIC POLICY | BUDGET & FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT || POLITICAL STRATEGIST | CAMPAIGNS | As a policy consultant with over 1.5 years of experience, I provided strategic analysis, research, and stakeholder engagement for various projects related to international affairs, foreign policy, and veterans policy. I leveraged my academic credentials in public administration, urban planning, and political science, as well as my professional certificates in campaign management and cybersecurity, to deliver high-quality results and recommendations for my clients. My passion for public service stems from my 21-year career as a veteran in the US Army, where I served in various roles such as logistics specialist, supervisor, air traffic controller, and civil engineering and heavy equipment operator. I also have extensive experience in local government and community leadership, having served on several boards and commissions, coordinated and advised on a multi-million dollar economic redevelopment project, and ran for city commissioner twice. I am a skilled communicator, coalition builder, and advocate for the issues and causes that I care about, such as disability rights, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and urban policy. I am pursuing my MPA degree at American University, where I aim to further develop my knowledge and skills in public management, policy analysis, and budget and financial management.
