Roles & Responsibilities : Observed and learned how a jack-up rig operates in different weather conditions. Systematic arrangement of cargo & machinery at Main Deck & Cantilever deck with the teamwork of crane operator and roustabouts. Assiting the floorman at rig-floor during nipple-up and nipple-down operation. Conducting the Boat operations(off-loading and back-loading of cargo and bulk transfer of fuel,premix,SOBM,Cement,Barite) smoothly by proper communication with the Boat captain. Being attentive all the time while working to observe for any possible hazard that might cause injury to self or someone else. Taking part in chopper duty as helideck assistant to safely direct the passengers from the chopper to rig and vice-versa. Actively participation in weekly fire-drill, H2S drill, Rig Abandonment drill & get well-trained to respond on time in case of emergency on rig. Keeping tally of the casing and drill pipe during the operation of running-in and pulling-out from the well. Helping assistant driller during measurements of the length, ID, OD of the casing, drill pipe, HWDP, drill collar. Helping the roughnecks at drill floor during pull-out and racking back of drill string(in the form of stands).
