ABOUT AMANDA ZAMORA
Amanda Zamora is the Founder & Principal of Agencia Media LLC, a consultancy that partners with organizations to drive narrative change and civic engagement, especially with and for communities of color. She has more than 20 years of experience as a journalist, storyteller, editor and disruptor in the news industry, with a focus on user research, audience development, product development and participatory design.Previously, she was the publisher and co-founder of The 19th, a national nonprofit newsroom that covers gender, politics, and policy. She is passionate about empowering diverse voices and perspectives in media and society, most recently as a 2023 Media Transformation Challenge Fellow at the Poynter Institute, where she explored how to build more inclusive and resilient news organizations. In 2021, she helped draft policy recommendations to combat mis- and disinformation as a member of the Aspen Institute\'s Commission on Information Disorder. She serves as a board member of The 19th and the American Press Institute.
