About Amanda Wiegman

Amanda is from Tampa, Florida and still resides in the Tampa Bay area. She attended the University of Central Florida where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration focused in Marketing. After completing her degree, Amanda began her career in Business Development in 2016 for a consulting firm in Tampa, Florida. She was responsible for assembling and sending documents around the world to others in the company, maintaining a strong communication line for high quality research to be completed in fragile environments. Knowing she wanted to pursue a role in the engineering field, in 2017 she transferred to a firm that specializes in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and information technology. Amanda worked directly with the Vice President of Operations on marketing pursuits and graphic design materials. In May of 2018 Amanda began working for a civil engineering company focused in transportation, drainage, traffic, and environmental services. Amanda was the Marketing Coordinator responsible for optimizing the firm’s portfolio by pursing new engineering service opportunities in both public and private sectors throughout the state of Florida. To round out her experience in the A/E/C industry, Amanda most recently joined the interdisciplinary architecture firm, WJ Architects. Here, she leads the Marketing and Business Development Department. This is one of few architecture firms in the country to also have a dedicated construction division, WJ Create, and development division, WJ Developers. The firm\'s design methodology is centered on the belief that architecture can inspire positive change and enrich society by creating engaging spaces for the working, living, learning, and playing. Amanda enjoys exercise, attending sporting events (season ticket holder for the UCF Knights and the Super Bowl Champions - the Tampa Bay Buccaneers), always has room in her heart to love and care for animals, and spends her free time with family, friends, and attending social gatherings. She has experience planning company events and is currently involved with the Society of Marketing Professional Services - Tampa Bay Chapter (Treasurer) and the Junior League of Tampa Bay (Communications Manager).

   WJ Architects (WJA) is an interdisciplinary architecture firm that creates engaging spaces for working, living, learning and playing. The firm’s design methodology is centered on the belief that architecture can inspire positive change and enrich society. WJA is capable of interior design, development, and design-build construction. WJA is one of the few architecture firms with a dedicated construction division, WJ Create, allowing us to provide comprehensive construction services all in house. WJA also has a multifaceted real estate development division, WJ Developers, focused on opportunistic development throughout Florida. Amanda is responsible for managing statewide marketing efforts for the firms five offices: St. Pete, Tarpon Springs, Sarasota, Miami, and West Palm Beach. Specific tasks include: management, coordination, production, and development for all marketing pursuits (including proposals, interviews and presentations), award submissions, and conference materials; development and maintenance of all marketing collateral (resumes, project sheets, etc.); external communication initiatives (like the website, social media, and publications); and coordinating with photographers/videographers as needed.
