The map is never finished, and it is my joy to continue improving it. I solve problems using location-based data and geospatial technology to discover, compile, integrate, process, analyze, and understand the world in powerful new ways. For more than 24 years, I have worked as the GIS Analyst for Douglas County, in Washington State, USA. I continually work on expanding my skills and keep an eye on the latest geospatial and geomatics trends. I am developing my skills in addressing, creating web maps, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and Python.I have a deep passion for volunteering and giving back to my profession. Currently, I am a volunteer for the Central Washington GIS User Group (CWGIS), and a volunteer on Washington State\'s GIS Association (WAGISA)(formerly Washington URISA or WAURISA) Marketing Committee. I served as the past secretary, board member, and chair of multiple committees for WAURISA and past volunteer and Chair of URISA\'s Marketing Committee. I am a past board member of the Central Washington GIS User Group (CWGIS) and a past newsletter editor for the former Puget Sound Chapter (now the Pacific Northwest Chapter) of the Association for Women Geoscientists (AWG).I would like to connect with you, and I am open to potential opportunities to expand my skills and experience. I achieve accurate results that fulfill my teammates, management, elected officials, and customers’ needs in a timely manner, while juggling numerous projects, with excellence as a standard. My latest projects include:Improving & maintaining the County\'s GIS datasets for roads, addressing, elections, zoning, and planning while using the latest aerial imagery and other information.Writing standards, workflows, and standard operating procedures for our addressing & road naming program.Crafting improvements & revisions to a variety of the County’s map products, including creating and maintaining interactive web maps and reference PDF maps for multiple County needs after we finished upgrading our GIS to Enterprise GIS.My duties include:Create & maintain digital geospatial data layers including transportation, building addresses, political boundaries, election districts, land use zoning, land tax parcels, Public Land Survey System (PLSS), and recreation in the County\'s GIS on the network and for the County\'s interactive web maps.Create, implement, and maintain the County’s GIS system & databases for buildings’ addresses & road names while coordinating on issues with RiverCom (the regional 9-1-1 center), local cities, surrounding counties, and the U.S. Postal Service.Perform analyses of geographic data to answer questions for elected officials, management, staff, outside agencies, private companies, and taxpayers.Provide GIS technical support and training to County elected officials, management, teammates, and customers on the use of the County’s geographic data, software, and services.Create & produce cartographic products for elected officials, management, teammates, and customers including interactive web maps & static PDF reference maps.Write, implement, and maintain standards & workflows for assigning road names & addresses.
