ABOUT AMANDA SULLEN

I’m an information security and data governance leader who loves turning complex, messy processes into systems that work. With over 10 years across healthcare, government, and tech, I build programs that make organizations more secure, more compliant, and more efficient.My work sits at the intersection of information security, data governance, and compliance. I have designed and lead programs for data governance, policy lifecycle modernization, data classification and retention workflows, and AI supported workflows. I thrive on making governance practical. Clear policies and SOPs, streamlined approval and exception processes, automated workflows, and standards that people can follow without feeling buried in bureaucracy are my strengths. A big part of my career has also been dedicated to training and enablement. I have built learning programs, created security-focused training content, and helped teams understand how to work safely with data, security standards, and new technologies. I enjoy transforming ambiguous requirements into scalable solutions organizations can depend on. I partner easily with legal, technical, enablement, and operational teams, translating complex frameworks and regulations into scalable solutions. Whether I’m leading a program, coaching a team, or building a process from the ground up, I focus on delivering structure without slowing down momentum.
