About Amanda Petersen
I spent twenty years in human-centered design, program management, customer engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and relationship management before I wrote a line of Python. That background shapes everything about how I approach analytics now. I don\'t just run analytics. I build the case for why the numbers matter and what to do about them. What I\'ve learned is that the hardest part of data-driven strategy inside a large organization isn\'t the analysis. It\'s getting the right insight to the right person at the right moment, framed in a way that actually changes a decision.Today I work inside Siemens Digital Industries Software\'s SaaS incubation team, a strategic function operating at the edge of one of the world\'s largest industrial software organizations, where the questions are still being formed and the frameworks don\'t exist yet. My work sits at the intersection of revenue strategy and analytics, specifically diagnosing where monetization breaks down across the customer lifecycle. Land, Adopt, Expand, Retain sounds clean on a slide. Making it visible in the data is a different problem entirely, and that\'s the problem I solve. My role gives revenue leaders, sales operations teams, finance, and senior leadership more than analytical clarity. I work through the full arc, from framing the right question, to investigating what the data is actually telling us, to building the strategic case for what to do about it. Pricing realization, customer cohort behavior, product-to-customer alignment, portfolio strategy. These aren\'t reporting exercises. They\'re diagnostics that surface where growth is leaking and where opportunity is hiding, and the starting point for decisions that actually move the business.Twenty years of customer-facing experience taught me that revenue problems are almost always relationship problems in disguise. That\'s still true. The data just helps you see them sooner.

What do I do?I work inside Siemens Digital Industries Software\'s SaaS incubation team, a strategic function operating at the edge of one of the world\'s largest industrial software organizations, where the questions are still being formed and the frameworks don\'t exist yet. I diagnose where monetization breaks down across the customer lifecycle, from land and adopt through expand and retain, and build the strategic case for what to do about it.What impact do I make?I give revenue leaders, sales operations, finance, and senior leadership more than analytical clarity. I work through the full arc: framing the right question, investigating what the data is actually telling us, and translating that into decisions that move the business. Pricing realization, customer cohort behavior, product-to-customer alignment, portfolio strategy. These aren\'t reporting exercises. They\'re diagnostics that surface where growth is leaking and where opportunity is hiding. What skills do I use?Analytics, revenue strategy, program management, executive communication, cross-functional collaboration, and human-centered design. What do I love? The hardest part of data-driven strategy inside a large organization isn\'t the analysis. It\'s getting the right insight to the right person at the right moment, framed in a way that actually changes a decision. That\'s the problem I solve.
