About Amanda Litman
I believe we don\'t have to settle for the status quo.I\'m the co-founder and president of Run for Something — the organization that recruits and supports young, diverse progressives running for down-ballot office. Since 2017, we\'ve endorsed 1,500+ candidates across nearly every state, the majority of them women and people of color. We\'re changing what leadership looks like in America. I also wrote two books: Run for Something: A Real-Talk Guide to Fixing the System Yourself (Atria/S&S, 2017, foreword by Hillary Rodham Clinton) and When We\'re in Charge: The Next Generation\'s Guide to Leadership (Crooked Media Reads, 2025) — named a best business book by the Financial Times and endorsed by Adam Grant, Jon Favreau, and Ilana Glazer. Before Run for Something, I was a digital strategist: email director on Hillary Clinton\'s 2016 presidential campaign, digital director for Charlie Crist\'s Florida gubernatorial campaign, deputy email director at Organizing for Action, and email writer for Barack Obama\'s 2012 re-election. Recognition I\'m proud of: Fortune 40 Under 40 (2020), Time NEXT 10•••22), Bloomberg\'s People to Watch (2019), Politico 50 (2018). I\'m currently an Obama Foundation USA Leader (2025–2026).
