Conduct behavior assessments, to include but is not limited to, assessing nonhuman primate pair stability, detailed nonhuman primate assessments, and rabbit assessments as requested. Review and modify SOPs and practices to ensure state of the art social and non-social enrichment is provided to all species at USAMRIID.* Perform Behavior and Enrichment in execution of NHP environmental enrichment programs that comply with the Animal Welfare Regulations (9 CFR, as amended) and The Guide (NRC, 2010, and as revised), as well as other applicable regulations and for other species at USAMRIID.* Pair macaques, and when possible other nonhuman primate species, in a research setting.* Coordinate weekly food enrichment requests from multiple sections to provide to the Commissary to meet Commissary\'s suspense to order the items.* Work independently in handling and performing all basic procedures for Old World NHPs, Rabbits, and Rodents and perform all basic tasks competently and without supervision. Responsible for various logistical tasks including: receipt, storage and maintenance of inventories, an accounting for all logistical supplies, reporting discrepancies of receipt immediately to the TOCOR, TPOC, or Director, VMD (or designated representative).* Provide training to USAMRIID personnel as requested by TPOC, TOCOR or the Director, VMD or his or her representative relative to animal behavior management or health care/technical care
