About Amanda Judge

Amanda is the proud Founder of Faire Collection, a preeminent brand of accessories with a social mission that is as inspiring as its\' aesthetics. Amanda founded the Faire shortly after researching poverty reduction strategies in rural Ecuador for her master’s thesis. Her research showed that the most effective way for these communities to emerge from poverty was to provide them access to more lucrative markets, and Faire Collection was the practical way to provide this solution. Amanda holds an M.A in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School of Tufts University and a B.A. in Finance from Santa Clara University. Amanda is an exemplary social entrepreneur, who dedicated to reducing poverty. She has been interviewed on TV networks such as FoxBusiness and CNN about Faire’s triple bottom line of profits, reducing poverty and environmental stewardship. Amanda and Faire Collection are written up in numerous fashion magazines and Amanda was named a ‘Better Business Babe’ by Women’s Health Magazine (May, 2012). She is frequently asked to speak on a number of issues from how to reduce poverty to how to start up a fashion brand. Amanda contributes a fresh perspective and raw sense of humor to any event. In her childhood, she designed her own clothes and started a rouge jewelry store out of her friend’s garage at the age of 12. To this day, her entrepreneurial spirit lives on and she still likes to make pretty things. More than anything, she likes to come up with grand new ideas to make this world a little better for all.

Formerly known as Andean Collection, we have transcended these geographic roots through an epic expansion in our upcoming Fall 2013 product line. We now design products which are responsibly sourced from our artisan partners in Vietnam, Swaziland, and Peru, as well as new regions within Ecuador, such as the Amazon.Amanda Judge, Faire Collection CEO, and her Brooklyn-based design team, travel the world to collaborate with more than 225 artisans, and create trend-setting designs that reflect both the culture heritage of the country of origin, as well as the style influences of New York City.As a social enterprise, Faire Collection substantially reduces poverty in the disadvantaged communities where we work. We also inspire further positive change through our social programs, such as educational scholarships and no interest loans, which are funded through your purchase.With one life to live, we intend to make the most of it and inspire you to do the same.
