   Additional representative matters: • Led a team that secured a victory for a videoconferencing technology company at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). After the client and its adversary had litigated a patent infringement case in federal court for 10 months, the adversary filed petitions with the USPTO seeking to invalidate 53 of the client’s claims. Convinced the USPTO to reject all of the challenges. Media noted Amanda “beat extremely unfavorable odds,” as only 4 percent of petitions result in similar decisions. • Litigator for leading medical device manufacturer in multiple patent infringement actions in the United States District Courts for the District of Delaware and Utah involving vena cava filters, hemostatic powders, stent grafts, and implantable venous access ports. Argued and won a rarely granted preliminary injunction motion in the District of Delaware. Opponent later dismissed their infringement claims against client for no money. • Litigator for global brokerage and trading firm in patent infringement litigation. Four months before trial, plaintiff gave up and dismissed its case against client with prejudice for no money. Other defendants remained in the case and faced demands for hundreds of millions of dollars on claims headed to trial. • Litigator for nation\'s leading financial institution in patent infringement litigation brought by patent holding company in the Middle District of Florida involving savings program. Won summary judgment that the asserted patent was invalid for lack of patentable subject matter under 35 U.S.C. § 101.
