ABOUT AMANDA HO
After graduating with a Bachelor of Social Work, I entered the career development field. I have worked in non-profit and post-secondary institutions supporting students, immigrant professionals, and other diverse communities in both one-on-one and group settings. I have helped people with resume & cover letters, interview prep, how to network and other skills to help them find fulfilling work. A large part of my roles required me to build strategic relationships with employers, recruiters and industry experts to create opportunities for my clients. I advocate for my clients, but also listen to employers and their needs. I believe the way we make lasting change is by involving everyone. Diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging is something that I am passionate about. I am always looking for ways to make systemic change to create more equitable spaces for people to thrive. This means I continue to attend workshops, read books and have difficult conversations to challenge my biases and my perspectives.
