According to CliftonStrengths, I am someone who Achieves, Competes, Strategizes, Futurizes and Ideates. According to Myers-Briggs I’m an INTJ (introverted, intuitive, thinking, judging) individual, which apparently puts me smack in the rarest personality type on earth (.8% of females). According to me, I am a tenacious communications leader committed to achieving exceptional results for myself and others through daydreams I can action on. The signs I would be both an entrepreneur and marketing professional came to me early in life in the format of a battered red box and a Trix commercial, respectively. The red box was a gift from the across-the-street neighbors who had recently retired and thought I might enjoy playing “office” with their leftover business paperwork and supplies. “Office” quickly became my favorite game as I scrawled out checks, forced my brother and parents to open purchase orders, stapled, filed and carbon copied to my heart’s content. I was hooked. It was during this office era when a Trix cereal commercial audaciously splashed onto my family’s television set one evening during prime time viewing. I couldn’t put my finger on it then, but it made me mad. I now realize the source of my discomfort was the rainbow and rabbit cacophony pitching sugary breakfast in a TV time slot clearly past its demographics’ bedtime, and of which had no business cartooning around alongside the more serious commercial matters of cars, insurance, medical prescriptions and beer. I have thought about the best ways to publicize and market products and companies ever since.If you press fast-forward from those days to now, you would see a blur of me falling in love with reading and writing, publishing some articles in small newspapers and magazines, editing my high school\'s yearbook, graduating with a communications degree, stumbling my way into public relations, getting hired on-the-spot at a large agency on my 22nd birthday, five years later convincing myself I knew enough to start my own PR agency, starting my own PR agency, growing, then merging that agency to form Kiterocket, becoming CEO and ushering it through a successful acquisition by Bodewell Group. Life moves fast.

   Bodewell Group (formerly Southwest Strategies Group) acquired my firm, Kiterocket, In July 2025. In my Bodewell Group role, I\'m a member of the Leadership Team that helps drive and implement agency priorities and to ensure we meet business objectives. In my day-to-role, I lead a 15-person Digital and Design team, developing related strategies and overseeing execution for clients across the agency\'s verticals, including water, transportation, energy, technology and land use sectors. This work spans brand planning and visual development, graphic design and creative, digital marketing campaigns (lead gen, PPC, social ads, email marketing), enterprise social media programs, and website development. In addition, I oversee all marketing for the agency to support business development and elevate brand reach.
