ABOUT AMANDA BAMFORD

I\'m Amanda. I have a lifelong obsession with stories (both telling and hearing them), and I believe that things really sing when you combine multiple, disperse disciplines and the qualitative with the quantitative. Driven by my curiosity to understand how products and brands engage with people and the world, I pursued a Bachelor of Commerce at The University of British Columbia (UBC Sauder School of Business_ where I achieved my degree with honours. To round out my business education, I also completed a Concentration in Sustainability during my undergrad which satisfied my intrinsic need to always consider the impact of actions on our planet and us - the people who live there.Since graduating in 2019, I moved to Toronto where I\'ve had the privilege to work at two esteemed high-growth companies. First at ecobee where I joined their Product Marketing team, working on their home security business and later on their air filters subscription. Then, I joined the HelloFresh Group were I spent 2 years on the meal kits business working on HelloFresh and Chefs Plate. Most recently, I have joined the ready-to-eat business at HelloFresh, supporting the newly launched Factor brand with both product marketing and brand activities.Professionally, my favourite things to do are brief inspired creatives and debate how language should be used, get deep into insights and problems, and collaborate with my non-marketing stakeholders who teach me new things every day.Personally, I am equally nerdy and athletic. I love to play video games - the most interactive story medium of our generation - and listen to my Dungeons & Dragons podcasts. I also recreationally practice Muay Thai (Thai boxing, the art of eight limbs) and tried softball this past summer.Always happy to chat about stories, let\'s connect!
