As Economic & Social Impact Manager for Hub East Central Scotland Ltd I work in partnership with local authorities /other public procurement and economic teams to deliver real tangible solutions to support their community wealthy building approach to local economic development. I engage and support many departments within local authorities such as Economics teams, Estate teams, Communities teams and Procurement teams to implement economic and social impact strategies on infrastructure projects valued from £5m to over £100m across Hub East Central Scotland territory. I work closely with local and national stakeholders to deliver Meet the Buyer events which I follow up with supply chain development support to engage with local smaller SME’s that have aspiration for growth and to increase their sustainability. To ensure compliance with their community benefit KPI target commitments I performance monitor the main contractor (Tier 1) on the infrastructure projects and provide reports to the local authority / public procuring client. I work collaboratively with Tier 1 contractors to provide support, knowledge, and guidance in relation to community benefits and social impact delivery. I work collaboratively with various government organisations both local and national to analyse and assess the social value delivered within the framework and to ensure that the economic and social impact delivered is relevant and valuable.
